U.S. War Exercises in Korea
September 4, 2007
From August 20-August 31 the U.S. staged military exercises simulating war on North Korea. The war enactment, called "Uji Focus Lens," included 10,000 U.S. forces, a large number of South Korean troops and sophisticated military equipment. Army corp units, Navy battleships, Air Force units, etc. engaged in exercises that included practice launching guided missiles, air strike target practice, and naval bombardment. Also in the month of August, the two countries carried out 170 cases of aerial espionage against North Korea.
These exercises are grave provocations against North Korea.
Similar war maneuvers against the North Korea are staged on a regular basis by U.S. and South Korean forces. They take place alongside incessant efforts by U.S. imperialism to isolate and undermine North Korea, including by labeling it "terrorist" and part of the "axis of evil."
Slander, threats and war moves by U.S. imperialism reveal the U.S. as the aggressor, with hostile intentions against North Korea.
