U.S. Officials Continue to Express Ill Will Towards the Syrian People

July 22, 2013

On July 18, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Martin E. Dempsey, admitted that Obama is being advised on the possibility of direct military intervention in Syria because the agenda is to make sure that Syria's president doesn't "win."

After over two years of repeatedly failing to subjugate or weaken the resolve of the Syrian people who are rallying in defense of their country's sovereignty and independence, bands of rebels backed by U.S. imperialism are widely seen to be nearly defeated.

The response of the Obama administration is to plan for further escalation.
