The Anti-Imperialist Forum is an initiative of the Workers Party, U.S.A. It is a website that serves to give independent political expression to the people's ardent demand for peace and to help bring this demand to the center of public opinion. Our anti-imperialist politics demands an immediate end to U.S. intervention and aggression in Iraq and throughout the world and doesn't stop there. It also puts forward the revolutionary alternative. In addition to recognizing that this is the historical epoch of the destruction of colonialism and imperialism, the owners of this website also recognize that, on a world scale, this is the epoch of the replacement of the old exploiting society with one in which the exploitation of man by man is done away with once and for all.

Imperialism will remain warlike as long as it has a single tooth left in its head. We recognize that imperialism means war, but that the peoples — through struggle and revolution — can defeat the war plans of imperialism and overthrow it. The peoples must and can defeat the war program of imperialism. Particular wars can be averted and imperialism defeated through the struggles of the workers and peoples. To eliminate the cause of war, the peoples must overthrow the capitalist-imperialist system.

It is the working class movement for emancipation and the liberation movements of the oppressed nations which are the motors of the struggle for social development and the real motive forces in the struggle against war. Thus, the entire orientation of this website is based on the great truth that:  Only the Peoples Can Stop the Wars!

In order to assist the people's struggles against war and militarism, we will carry background articles providing political and historical analysis as well as timely news articles exposing developments in the war program of the U.S. government and reporting on the struggles of people in opposition to it. This website is a space in which activists can sum up their experiences and report on any sort of information they feel is important to the anti-war movement. It is a forum in which to discuss important political and theoretical issues facing the movement.

Join in the discussion over how to advance the anti-war movement.  The Anti-Imperialist Forum enthusiastically invites the participation of anti-war activists and concerned people everywhere. You do need to be aware that this is an organization based in the United States. As such, we continue the longstanding tradition of the American people which has always been a tradition of opposing the aggressive, imperialist wars of "our own government." It is our firm conviction that the U.S. working class can never win its emancipation without rejecting and defeating the chauvinism and militarism of the capitalist class. Thus, our editorial policy will always adhere to the principle that the struggle against one's "own" ruling class is at the heart of any real fight against the world imperialist system.
